There could be no better time than now to act on your hopes to grow or start a business.
Right here in Medicine Hat, there are people ready to help you shape your ideas. There are services to bring product ideas to life. We can align you with experienced mentors who know the challenges and rewards of business development.
Not enough motivation?
What if we added access to funding to launch the first steps toward a new business, or expanding an existing operation? What if you didn’t need to pay that money back?
This may sound too good to be true, but these supports and more are all available through the APEX Incubator.
It is easy to engage. Check us out a www.apexalberta.ca, then connect with one of our business advisors. They’re the gateway to a suite of services, and most importantly, they act as personal business coaches who provide tools you can use to build and refine your ideas.
In the few months the APEX Incubator has been operating, we’ve worked with well over 50 entrepreneurs. To be honest, some business ideas melt away as the entrepreneur explores the market and discover that hoped-for customers are scarce. Other ideas need further research, prototyping, and refining. But some plans are receiving funding and moving steadily forward to success.
And there’s more potential funding on the horizon.
Later this spring, a few of the entrepreneurs working with APEX will have the opportunity to pitch their business plans to a panel of judges. Thanks to the vision of JMH & CO, there will be significant cash on the table as seed funding for the very best business plans.
Everyone in the community can attend and cheer on the competitors, but if you’d like to be on the stage, if you have a business dream to pitch, act now.
The competition is open only to clients of the APEX Incubator, and you must have a solid business plan to be reviewed in addition to your public pitch.
Keep in mind, too, that your public pitch may pay off in unexpected ways. Someone in the audience might just be your future mentor, partner, or investor. Three APEX clients learned this two weeks ago when they pitched to an audience that included business advisors from across Alberta.
The pitch competition promises to be exciting, and a great way to share in the hopes and plans of entrepreneurs in our region. You can be among them.
The 1st ever APEX Business Challenge (Pitch Competition) will be held on June 15th, 2018 at Medicine Hat College in the Eresman Theatre. The public is encouraged to attend and more details on the event will be coming soon. If you are interested in pitching your idea, contact an APEX Entrepreneur Advisor to find out more.
