Tech Night

Tech Nights are a fun, relaxed networking environment where you can connect with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) community in Southeast Alberta. They offer an opportunity for students and industry to engage with each other and include a Tech Talk where local experts share their stories to help inspire others.

Our speaker is Mitchell Iwaasa.  Mitchell is the Economic Development Officer for the Brooks Newell Region, supporting business growth and investment across the City of Brooks, County of Newell, and surrounding communities.

He is currently helping lead the Brooks Newell Hydrogen Hub, an initiative to develop a scalable rural hydrogen centre focused on production, distribution, and fueling solutions for commercial transport and agriculture. The project aims to position the region at the forefront of Alberta’s hydrogen economy while creating a model that can be replicated in rural communities across the province and beyond.

This tech night will be held at Piston Broke Brewing, 350 9 St E, Brooks, AB T1R 1K6.

If you are interested in carpooling, please let Joleine know by emailing jmartineau@albertacf.com.

Don't forget to register! While this event is free thanks to our sponsors, seating is limited.

Tech Nights are brought to you by:
